Embroidery unit precautions Attaching the embroidery unit Cautions for the embroidery unit will be explained below. CAUTION ● Do not move the sewing machine with the embroidery unit in place. The embroidery unit may be dropped and cause injury. ● Keep your hands and other objects away from the embroidery carriage and frame. Otherwise injury may result. Note z Do not touch the connector in the embroidery unit connector slot. The connector could be damaged, and it may cause malfunctions. z Do not lift up on the embroidery carriage, and do not forcefully move it. It may cause malfunctions. Get the included embroidery unit ready. Turn off the sewing machine. a Pull the flat bed attachment off to the left. b Slide the tab on the cover of the connection c port in the direction of the arrow to open the cover. Note z Be sure to close the cover of the connection port when the embroidery unit is not being used. 148

CAUTION
Note
Do not touch the connector in the
embroidery unit connector slot. The
connector could be damaged, and it may
cause malfunctions.
Do not lift up on the embroidery carriage,
and do not forcefully move it. It may cause
malfunctions.
Attaching the embroidery unit
Get the included embroidery unit ready.

Turn off the sewing machine.

Pull the flat bed attachment off to the left.

Slide the tab on the cover of the connection
port in the direction of the arrow to open the
cover.
Note
Be sure to close the cover of the connection
port when the embroidery unit is not being
used.
