DES-3226S Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch User's Guide The following fields can be set: Parameter Description VLAN Name Allows the entry of the name of the VLAN for which IGMP Snooping is to be configured. Query Interval Allows the entry of a value between 1 and 65500 seconds, with a default of 125 seconds. This specifies the length of time between sending IGMP queries. Max Response Sets the maximum amount of time allowed before sending an IGMP response report. A value between 1 and 25 seconds can be entered, with a default of 10 seconds. Robustness Variable A tuning variable to allow for sub-networks that are expected to lose a large number of packets. A value between 2 and 255 can be entered, with larger values being specified for sub-networks that are expected to lose larger numbers of packets. Last Member Query Specifies the maximum amount of time between group-specific query messages, Interval including those sent in response to leave group messages. The default is 1 second. Querier State This field can be Switched using the pull-down menu between Disabled and Enabled. Host Timeout Specifies the maximum amount of time a host can be a member of a multicast group without the Switch receiving a host membership report. The default is 260 seconds. Host Leave Timer Specifies the maximum amount of time between the Switch receiving a leave group message from a host, and the Switch issuing a group membership query. If the Switch does not receive a response from the group membership query before the Host Leave Timer expires, the host address is deleted from the Switch's forwarding table. The default is 2 seconds. Route Timeout State Specifies the maximum amount of time a route will remain in the Switch's forwarding table without receiving a membership report. The default is 260 seconds. This field can be Switched using the pull-down menu between Disabled and Enabled. This is used to enable or disable IGMP Snooping for the specified VLAN. 104
