Configuring and Viewing PIM-DM for IPv4 Multicast Routing Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to configure PIM-DM for IPv4 multicast routing on the switch and on VLAN routing interfaces and to view PIM-DM information. Command Purpose configure Enter global configuration mode. ip pim dense Enable PIM-DM on the switch. interface vlan vlan-id Enter Interface Configuration mode for the specified VLAN. ip pim Enable PIM-DM on the interface. ip pim hello-interval seconds Specify the number of seconds (range: 0-65535) to wait between sending PIM hello messages on the interface. exit Exit to Privileged EXEC mode. show ip pim View system-wide PIM information. show ip pim interface vlan vlan-id View the PIM-DM information for the specified interface. show ip pim neighbor View a summary or all the details of the multicast [interface vlan vlan-id | all] table.
