Managing Files in Internal Flash Beginning in Privileged EXEC mode, use the following commands to copy, rename, delete and list the files in the internal flash. Command Purpose dir List the files in the flash file system. copy flash://filename usb://filename Copy a file from the internal flash to a USB flash drive. Use the dir command to see a list of the files that can be copied from the internal flash. Make sure a flash drive has been inserted in the USB port on the front panel before executing the command. rename current_name Rename a file in flash. new_name delete filename Remove the specified file. erase {startup-config | Erase the startup configuration, the backup configuration backup-image | backup- or the backup image. config} copy startup-config backup-config Save the startup configuration to the backup configuration file. copy running-config startup-config Copy the current configuration to the startup configuration. This saves the current configuration to NVRAM. show startup-config View the contents of the startup-config file show running-config View the contents of the running-config file Managing Images and Files 365
