Replacing the Cover Follow these steps to replace the computer's cover: 1. Turn the computer so you are facing the back panel. 2. Hold the cover at a slight angle, as shown below, and lower the front part onto the computer. Then lower the back of the cover. 3. Slide the cover forward until the front edge overlaps the top edge of the front panel. 4. Tighten the three thumbscrews on the back panel to secure the cover to the computer. 5. Lock the computer's cover, if desired. (See Chapter 3.) 6. Reconnect your monitor, printer, keyboard, and any other peripheral devices you have. Then reconnect the power cord to the back of the computer and to an electrical outlet. Accessing Internal Components 5-11

Replacing the Cover
Follow these steps to replace the computer’s cover:
1.
Turn the computer so you are facing the back panel.
2.
Hold the cover at a slight angle, as shown below, and lower
the front part onto the computer. Then lower the back of
the cover.
3.
Slide the cover forward until the front edge overlaps the top
edge of the front panel.
4.
Tighten the three thumbscrews on the back panel to secure
the cover to the computer.
5.
Lock the computer’s cover, if desired. (See
Chapter 3.)
6.
Reconnect your monitor, printer, keyboard, and any other
peripheral devices you have. Then reconnect the power
cord to the back of the computer and to an electrical outlet.
