Hard Disk Problems If you are having a problem with a hard disk in your computer, you may see a hard disk error message. The problem could be the result of improper installation, incomplete disk preparation, or corrupted data. The suggestions in this section cover problems in three categories: Ll Installing the drive 0 Preparing the drive for use 3 Accessing data on the drive. Consult the section that seems most likely to include your problem. For example, if you suddenly cannot use data on your disk, see "Accessing Data on the Drive." Caution If your hard disk has data on it, be very careful performing any procedure that may erase data (such as formatting the disk). Always be sure to back up your data before you reformat or repartition the disk drive. Consult your dealer if you have any questions.
