Getting Started Calibrating the Compass The Speed Scale indicates whether you are 'TOO SLOW', 'JUST RIGHT' or 'TOO FAST'. Helpful Compass Tips 1. The Electronic Compass will need to be recalibrated outdoors every time the batteries are changed. 2. The Electronic Compass will not be accurate when used in a car or around items that radiate a magnetic field. 3. When using the compass, hold the unit as level as possible. The more that the unit is tilted, the less accurate the compass will become.
