WARNING! Formatter PCB Removal 1 Remove the following assemblies: • Remove the toner cartridge. (See "Toner Cartridge Removal" (page 156) for instructions. • Remove the DIMM cover. (See "DIMM Cover Removal" (page 172) for instructions.) • If the EIO Card is installed, remove it. (See "EIO Card Removal" (page 171) for instructions.) 2 Disconnect the ribbon and power cables shown in figure 7-27. 3 Remove the four screws shown in figure 7-27. The clip gasket which is attached to the Formatter's RFI Shield contains Nickel. Repair technicians handling this gasket directly may wish to wear gloves. Be advised per European Union Directive 76/769/EEC that ingestion of water soluble nickel salts can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. 4 Remove the sheet metal RFI shield.
