Chapter 3 Advanced Printing Tasks 147 The user can change the variable fuser mode for each of these types of paper from the control panel. The following are the variable fuser modes: Variable Fuser Mode NORMAL LOW HIGH1 HIGH2 HIGH3 Temperature and Printing Speed for Letter and A4 Normal fuser temperature setting, 32 ppm Low fuser temperature setting, 32 ppm Raises fuser temperature setting, 32 ppm Raises fuser temperature setting, 24 ppm Raises fuser temperature setting, 16 ppm Most paper types are set to NORMAL by default. The exceptions are: z TRNSPRNCY=LOW z LABELS=HIGH1 z CARDSTOCK=HIGH2 z ROUGH=HIGH1 Changing the Variable Fuser Mode
