Orienting media Orient media types and sizes according to the tray from which the media will be printed and according to whether the media will be duplexed (printed on both sides). Knowing whether the media will be duplexed is especially important when printing on letterhead, single-side glossy, or preprinted media. The following table shows the orientation of media. Please note the special consideration given to prepunched paper. Note Media orientation works in conjunction with media type. Make sure to set the correct type for the media you are using. For more information, see "Supported types of media" on page 86. Media Standard sizes other than A4 or letter, and custom sizes, long edge to 306 mm (12 inches) (weights to 220 g/m2) (58-lb bond).
