Configuration Prerequisites Before you configure a switch in the Cisco MDS 9000 Family for the first time, make sure you have the following information: • Administrator password. • Switch name-This name is also used as your switch prompt. • IP address for the switch's management interface. • Subnet mask for the switch's management interface. • IP address of the default gateway. When preparing your site for network connections to the Cisco MDS 9000 switch, consider the
following:

Before you configure a switch in the Cisco MDS 9000 Family for the first time, make sure you have the
following information:
