Table 1-2 SCSI Command Overview Library Control Commands Target-Supported Status Codes Code (Hex) Status 00H Good 02H Check Condition 08H Busy 10H Intermediate Good 18H Reservation Conflict 22H Command Terminated Good 00H, This status indicates that the target has successfully completed the command. Check Condition 02H, Any error, exception, or abnormal condition that causes sense data to be set results in a Check Condition status. To determine the condition, the Request Sense Command should be issued following a CHECK CONDITION status. Busy 08H, A busy status is returned by the target during powerup until all power-on diagnostics tests have been completed. A busy status is also returned when multiple commands are outstanding and a media access command is received with the DISC PRIV bit cleared in the identify message. Intermediate Good 10H, For commands issued with the LINK bit set, you will see this status instead of GOOD. Following this status, the drive will proceed to the COMMAND phase for the transfer of the next linked command. Reservation Conflict 18H, This status is returned when a SCSI device attempts to access a logical unit reserved for another initiator. Command Terminated 22H, This status is returned for a command that was terminated by a TERMINATE I/O PROCESS message. This status also indicates a contigent allegiance condition. 1- 14 Chapter 1
