Library SCSI-3 Command Set Numerical List of Commands Numerical List of Commands The following tables list the SCSI-3 commands numerically. See Table 2-2 on page 2-4 for an alphabetical list of all commands. Table 2-1 Tape Library SCSI-3 Commands Hex Name Code Description Page 00H 01H 03H 07H 12H 15H 16H 17H 1AH 1CH 1DH Test Unit Ready Rezero Unit Request Sense Initialize Element Status Inquiry Mode Select (6) Reserve (6) Release (6) Mode Sense (6) Receive Diagnostic Results Send Diagnostic Checks to determine if the tape library is ready. Sets the library to a specific predefined state. Determines a specific error condition when the library fails to successfully complete a command. Checks all elements for tape cartridges. Provides vendor, product, and revision information. Sets the configuration. Reserves the library for use by a single SCSI initiator. Releases the library for use by multiple SCSI initiators. Reports element parameter and configuration information. Retrieves diagnostic test information resulting from the Send Diagnostic Command.
