EXPOSURE screen (continued) Menu item COLOR TEMP Function/variable range Default value Used to set the basic colour temperature of the white balance. 3200K: for use under low colour temperature such as halogen lamps, etc. 5200K: for use under high colour temperature such as the sunlight, etc. 3200K WHITE BALANCE screen Menu item WHITE BAL LEVEL (R) LEVEL (B) Function/variable range Default value Used to set the white balance mode. PRESET: the white balance is locked to the selected COLOR TEMP setting. AUTO: The camera makes its own adjustment accord- ing to prevailing lighting condition. ( ੬ Page 30 White balance adjustment) Fine adjustment can be made for the white balanced using LEVEL (R) and LEVEL (B). MANUAL: the white balance can be changed using LEVEL (R) and LEVEL (B). AUTO The colour red of the white balance can be adjusted when WHITE BAL is set to AUTO or MANUAL. Increase the number: deeper reds on the screen Decrease the number: paler reds on the screen [Variable range during AUTO: -32 ~ 31] [Variable range during MANUAL: 0 ~ 255] AUTO : 0 MANUAL : 128 The colour blue of the white balance can be adjusted when WHITE BAL is set to AUTO or MANUAL.
