FTG Operation Troubleshooting The following table provides troubleshooting information for when the EBL is configured in the FTG Mode of operation. Symptom Communication Error ("Communications Timeout") Possible Cause(s) Cable(s) not connected. TV not powered. TV not turned ON. Wrong COM (communication) port. Solution(s) Check and connect communication cables. Check/connect the TV power cord. TV needs to be turned ON (default setting of Installer Menu item 118 POWER SAVINGS).
