Note: Only DDR SDRAM memory modules can be used. To replace a memory module: 1. Remove the cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 30. 2. To locate the memory connectors. See "Identifying parts on the system board (all machine types)" on page 38. 3. Remove the memory module being replaced by opening the retaining clips as shown. 4. Make sure the notches in the new memory module align with the tabs on the connector. Push or insert the memory module straight down into the connector until the retaining clips close. 5. Go to "Replacing the cover and connecting the cables" on page 63. Replacing adapters Types 8185, 8186, 8192, 8413, and 8430 These type computers have three expansion slots for PCI adapters and one slot used for an AGP adapter. Adapters must be low profile.
