When the top access cover is closed, the printer should mechanically interlock. • Check the JBUMP1 connection/cable connected to the system card for defects and proper connection. If the cable wiring or the cable connection is defective, replace the bump aligner motor. See "Bump aligner motor removal" on page 4-40. If the JBUMP1 connector is damaged on the system card, replace the system card. See "System card removal" on page 4-79. • Check the bump aligner shaft and the mechanical system for binds. • Replace the bump aligner motor.
