Making speakers connections 1 8mm 2 3 O Unscrew 4 5 Insert wire Screw Connecting the speaker cables When using banana plugs, make sure the speaker terminal screws are screwed in firmly het0re inserting the banana plugs. • Speaker terminals on European models are not banana-plug compatible. Connecting the front, rear and remote speakers If you want to use the Surround effects, the Rear and Center speakers must be connected. Please refer to "Connecting the Center speaker(s)" below when connecting Center speaker(s). The speakers that are to he located in the same room as this unit should be connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS MAIN terminals. Different sets of speakers that are to he located in another room (or the same room) should be connected to the FRONT SPEAKERS REMOTE terminals. To get the full effects of the Surround processor, ensure the left and right FRONT SPEAKERS MAIN and REAR speakers are not reversed. • Use speaker cables that have a low impedance and that are as short as possible. • SPEAKER IMPEDANCE FRONT MAIN: 6 ohms min./speaker SINGLE CENTER, REAR, FRONT REMOTE: 8 ohms min./speaker DUAL CENTER: 4 ohms min./speaker Connecting the center epeeker(s) Connect the center speaker to the TXSV636 as shown left illustration.
