Refer to pages 37 - 41 and the explanation of each parameter when using on screen to set the parameters. If you need to initialize the set value for each parameter, carry out the initialization procedure. (See page 39.) The surround mode parameters can be set and stored for each source. settbil%IN* tate. When using video cassette tapes or video discs with the Dolby Surround trademark, you can achieve the same kind of sound in your room that can be experienced in a movie theater. 1. Select a source encoded with Dolby surround. 2. Press the DOLBY PRO LOGIC button. Using remote controller, press the SUR. MODE A or V button to select the Dolby Pro Logic surround mode. 3. Use the PARAMETER SELECTOR -4 or ► button to select Center Mode. Refer to the Explanation I on the page 37 for details. 4. Use the PARAMETER CONTROLLER -4 or ► button to select either NORMAL, WIDEBAND or PHANTOM. 5. Use the MASTER VOLUME to set the volume to the desired listening position. 6. Press the TEST button on the remote controller to turn the test tone on. Refer to the Explanation 2 on the page 38 for details. 7. Adjust the center level, and rear level. Use the CH. SEL and LEVEL A or V buttons on the remote controller to adjust the levels. Refer to the Explanation 2 on the page 38 for details. 8. Press the TEST button again Turn off the test tone. 9. Adjust the delay time. Refer to the Explanation 3 on the page 39 for details. • When using the remote controller, set the Device select switch on it to AMP. mSEC 36
