Use of surround mode This unit is provided with 5 kinds of Surround modes. Select a mode by pressing the DOLBY PRO LOGIC button, DSP MODE button or BY-PASS button. When using the remote control, press the SUR. MODE A or V button. Make your choice of modes depending on the type of music you are listening to, the media used, and your personal preference. Surround Modes r - DOLBY PRO LOGIC By using video tape and laser discs with the Dolby Surround trade mark. You can decode four channel surround sound. 2 THEATER There are many surround speakers in an actual theater. Use this mode for creating a theater atmosphere. This mode is suitable for playback of media recorded with Dolby Surround. HALL Simulates the atmosphere of a concert hall. Intended for classical music. I BY-PASS This is the mode used when you do not wish to use the surround mode All input sound is output from the front speakers directly. r ARENA This mode recreates the feel of listening to a pop concert in a rinmpri LIVE Reproduces the feeling of a live performance. I Parameter selector This chart shows how the display changes when the PARAMETER SELECTOR buttons are pressed. Pressing the PARAMETER SELECTOR .41 button goes to the upper items and pressing the ► button goes to the lower items. Pressing the PARAMETER CONTROLLER but- ton in each display can change the value and condition of whichever parameter is displayed.
