Using the On-screen display function MEMORY =====. . omo 000 VIDEO-1 > E; 1..1 7 .15 You can use the remote controller to operate all the onscreen display function. Switching between the NTSC and PAL systems If your TX-SV636 is an U.S.A. or Canadian models: The on-screen display function is only available when an NTSC TV system is used. If your TX-SV636 is an other area models: The type of TV system can be switched between the NTSC and PAL systems. Follow the procedures below if the TV signal is being sent. but the screen is scrolling. While pressing the MEMORY button. press the VIDEO-1 button. The name of the TV system which was chosen will be shown on the display for three seconds. The on-screen function uses a monitor TV connected to the TX-SV636 as a display. and is classified into two categories. VIDEO-1 TAPE-1 Muting _1 I VIDEO-1 CD Test HALL Rear +1dB Immediate on-screen display This is the indication shown when the input selector, the volume of the center/rear speakers or the surround mode is changed. The following items will be shown on the display during the operation of the main unit. a. When the power is turned on. h. When the input selector is changed. c. When the surround mode is changed. d. When the delay time is changed. c. When the MUTING is pressed on the remote controller. f. When the TEST is pressed on the remote controller. g. When you adjust the volume level of the center and rear speakers during surround playback. oaNirx-srca. - Surround S Screen Seo ENTER button CURSOR buttons 20 Menu on-screen When you press the ENTER button on the remote controller, options for the Input Selector, the Rec Selector. the Surround Setup, and the Screen Setup are displayed. The Menu screen can be operated by means of cursor buttons on the remote controller. ♦ and V cursor buttons: Used to move the cursor upward and downward on the screen. and ► cursor buttons: Used to move the cursor to the left and right on the screen, and to change the parameters or select the items on which the cursor is located. • Holding down the button will change the parameter or move the cursor continuously. • Cursor is black and white reversed character, on the screen. • The monitor TV should be connected to the unit to utilize this function. NOTES: • On-screen displays video images in the background when a video source is playing, and displays text on top of your selected colour on screen when nothing is being played back. • On-screen is output only to the MONITOR OUT terminal, not to the record terminal (out). Therefore, even if any On-screen is displayed on the monitor TV while recording, the On-screen display is not recorded. • Menu items on each screen differ according to the Surround mode etc. Pressing the -ill or ► cursor button while the cursor is on some items may display a separate sub-screen.
