Remote controller Connecting the TX-SV636 and an Onkyo audio device bearing RI (Remote Interactive) mark (such as a compact disc player or cassette tape deck) allows you to control the connected Onkyo products using the TX-SV636's remote controller. Refer to "Connections for remote control" on page 10 for more information on R I -connection. You can also use the remote controller to operate other brands of ideo devices in the same way if you program a device code into the remote controller. Refer to the attached "Remote Controller Set-up & Cord List' for more information on how to program a device code. • The function of the remote controller buttons may differ depending on the position of the Device select switch 3. Refer to the following explanation of the button functions. • In the following section. an asterisk (*) indicates the position of the Device select switch (21 and the function available with that position. The function of the buttons without an asterisk is always available regardless of the switch position. • Note for European model: the remote controller cannot he used when the POWER button on the front panel is set to OFF.
