LI I] Although full details of each Surround mode will be explained on page 34, please be sure to understand the following basic operation first. Operating Surround 1. Press the DOLBY PRO LOGIC button to select Dolby Pro Logic surround mode. Press the DSP MODE button to select Theater, Hall, Live or Arena surround mode. Using the remote controller, set the Device select switch to AMP, then press the SUR. MODE k or V button to select surround mode. • Each time the button is pressed the mode changes as pic- tured and is shown in the display section. • Each mode has a number of details (parameters) which 4. affect the sound of the mode. 2. Press the PARAMETER SELECTOR -4 or lo• button to select the parameter you want to change. • Displayed in the display section for 5 seconds. • If the display goes out, you can press the PARAMETER SELECTOR button again. • The particular parameters change depending on which Surround mode you are in. (See page 34) 3. Use the PARAMETER CONTROLLER 4 or ► but- ton to select a value for the parameter. • Adjust the parameter by repeating steps 2 and 3, and referring to the parameter selector list. • The adjusted parameter is stored in the memory for the surround mode you set it in. • When you are not playing in surround: press the BY- PASS button on the main unit or press the SUR. MODE A or V button on the remote control to select BY-PASS. • When using the multi-source, the surround mode will be turned off. • Refer to page 35 using the on screen display. 33
