Insert the AC power supply cord into the wall outlet. Press the POWER button. Please refer to the "Power button and Stand-by/Received indicator" explanation on the page 23. BASS TREBLE BALANCE • Listening to your favorite source 1. If the MAIN indicator is not light on the display, press the MAIN SPEAKERS button to light the MAIN indicator. 2. Press the desired input selector button. • Check the audio muting is off. On-screen Press the ENTER button. The Menu screen will be shown. Move the cursor to Input Selector using A or V cursor button and press the ENTER or ► cursor button. The Input Selector screen will be shown. Select the desired input source. Move the cursor to the desired selection, for example Picture, Sound, etc., and press the 4 or P. cursor button to choose the desired source. Picture: Indicate the input source of the picture. Sound: Indicate the input source of the sound. When you press the .1 or ► cursor buttons while the cursors are both Picture and Sound, you can change the input source of the Picture and Sound at the same time. However if you select other than VIDEO-1 to 4 for the input source, the image will be fixed to the most recently selected video source so that only the sound changes. TAPE-2 Moni.: Indicates TAPE-2 MONITOR ON or OFF. Sur. Mode: Indicates surround mode. • The button pressed will be shown on the display. For FM or AM reception, the band and the frequency will also be shown. • Confirm that the TAPE-2 MONITOR indicator is off when a source other than the TAPE-2 MONITOR has been selected. Also check the audio muting is off. • Please refer to the operations from page 33 onward in order to play the selected source with Surround. 3. Start the selected input source playing. Follow the operating instructions of that unit. 4. Adjust the volume to appropriate level using the MASTER VOLUME control knob or VOL A (up)/ V (down ) button on the remote controller. These controls set the volume of the Front Main. Center and Rear (Surround) speakers. 5. Adjust the tone controls.
