Description of Menu Items Item Fwd. Set Print Fwd. Error Print Prefix Dial Prefix Dial Num Discard Size ECM (Error Correction Mode) Extel Hook Thresh Modem Speed Country Description Specifies if the outgoing faxes should be printed when they are forwarded. When set to On, all of the forwarded faxes are printed. Prints a report if a forwarded fax is not successfully sent. Specifies whether or not to add the prefix number when you send a fax. Specifies the prefix dial number, up to five digits. This number dials before any auto dial number is started. It is useful for accessing the PABX exchange. Specifies if the printer should discard any excess data at the bottom of the page. If ECM is set to On (the default), it attempts to correct errors in the fax transmission, caused by problems, such as a noisy telephone line. Specifies the threshold value for the external telephone. Auto Reset Specifies the time the printer waits for further control panel input before automatically resetting the settings for COPY, SCAN, or FAX and returning to the standby mode. Fault Time-Out You can cancel a printing process when it goes beyond a set time period. Set the time until the print job is canceled. When this timeout expires, the print job is canceled. • 5 sec. to 300 sec. (default: 30 sec.) System Setup
System Setup menu is used to make the printer operation settings, such as for alarm and
power saver mode.
Fwd. Set Print
Specifies if the outgoing faxes should be printed when they
are forwarded. When set to
On
, all of the forwarded faxes
are printed.
Fwd. Error Print
Prints a report if a forwarded fax is not successfully sent.
Prefix Dial
Specifies whether or not to add the prefix number when you
send a fax.
Prefix Dial Num
Specifies the prefix dial number, up to five digits. This number
dials before any auto dial number is started. It is useful for
accessing the PABX exchange.
Discard Size
Specifies if the printer should discard any excess data at the
bottom of the page.
ECM (Error Correction Mode)
If ECM is set to
On
(the default), it attempts to correct errors
in the fax transmission, caused by problems, such as a noisy
telephone line.
Extel Hook Thresh
Specifies the threshold value for the external telephone.
Modem Speed
Specifies the fax modem speed.
