Getting started Setting up the device 1. Remove the battery cover. 2. Install the SIM card. 3. Install the microSD card (optional). 4. Install the battery (page 3). 5. Replace the battery cover (page 3). 6. Charge the battery (page 3). Removing the battery cover 1. Locate the battery cover notch on the bottom of the device. 2. Place your thumb in the centre of the battery cover. 3. Insert your fingernail in the notch. 4. Pry the cover up. 5. Remove the cover from the device. Battery cover Battery cover notch Installing the SIM card 1. Slide the SIM card holder towards the top edge of the device and lift up, as directed on the holder. SIM card holder 2. Place the SIM card in the device with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner near the bottom of the device. 3. Close the card holder. 4. Slide the card holder towards the bottom of the device to lock it.
