Sending a text message You can send Short Message Service (SMS) text messages. 1. From the application tray, touch Messaging > New Text Message. 2. Touch To. 3. To enter a recipient: • Enter a phone number or a contact name and touch Done. • Touch Add from Contacts and touch a contact from your contacts list. 4. Touch Message. 5. Enter the text message. 6. Touch for additional options: • Touch Attach to add attachments such as media, contacts or events. • Touch Add Subject to add a subject line. • Touch Add Cc to add carboncopy recipients. • Touch Call to place a phone call. • Touch Add to Contacts to add the number to your contacts list. • Touch View Contact to view the contact information for the recipient, if available. • Touch Discard to discard the text message without saving it. • Touch Delete Thread to delete the entire text thread. 7.
