Web Based Management Configure Secure Function Lock 4 You can restrict user access to Scan Functions and Web Connect Functions. 1 Start Web Based Management and access your Brother machine (see step 1 on page 36). 2 When the Web Based management screen appears, click the Administrator tab, and then click the User Restriction Function menu in the left navigation bar. 3 Select Secure Function Lock. 4 4 Click Submit. 5 Click Secure Function Lock 1-25 (or 26-50) in the left navigation bar. 6 Select the ID Number/Name of the user whose access you want to configure. 7 Type the ID Number/Name and PIN for the user you want to configure. NOTE • Every ID Number/Name should be different. • You can register up to 50 IDs. 8 Select the Functions which this user can access. NOTE • Clear the Functions check box for each functions that you want to restrict: • Clear the Scan box to restrict Scan to PC / to FTP / to Network / to E-mail Server functions. • Clear the USB box to restrict the Scan to USB function. • Clear Web Connect box to restrict the Scan to Web function. 9 Click Submit. 38
