Web Based Management LDAP Operation 4 The LDAP protocol allows you to search for email addresses from your server using the Scan to E-mail server features. Changing LDAP Configuration 4 1 Start Web Based Management and access your Brother machine (see step 1 on page 36). 2 Click the Address Book tab, and then click LDAP in the left navigation bar. 4 3 Click On to set LDAP Search. 4 Configure the following LDAP settings:  LDAP Server Address  Port (the default port number is 389.)  Search Root  Fetch DNs  Authentication  Username 1  Password 1  Kerberos Server Address 1  SNTP  Timeout for LDAP  Attribute of Name (Search Key)  Attribute of E-mail 1 This selection will only be available depending on the authentication method used. 5 When finished, click Submit. Make sure that the Status is OK on the Test Result page. NOTE • The LDAP Protocol does not support simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and Korean. • If the LDAP server supports Kerberos Authentication, we recommend choosing Kerberos for the Authentication setting. It provides strong authentication between the LDAP server and your machine. You must configure the SNTP protocol (network time server), or you must set the date, time and time zone correctly on your machine's control panel for Kerberos Authentication. The LDAP Protocol does not support simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and Korean.
