Chapter 4 Configuring Settings on the Cisco Unified IP Phone Device Configuration Menu Table 4-8 Media Configuration Menu Options (continued) Option Description To Change Recording Tone Duration Indicates the length of time in milliseconds that the beep tone plays. If the value that you configure here is less than one third of the interval, this value overrides the default value that is provided by the Network Locale. From Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration, choose Device > Phone > Phone Configuration. Range: 0 to 3000 Note For some Network Locales that use a complex cadence, this setting applies only to the first beep tone. Wideband Headset See also: Recording Tone in this table. Indicates whether wideband is enabled or disabled for the headset. Default: Disabled • If Wideband Headset UI Control is enabled, you or the user can set this value from the Settings menu on the phone by choosing User Preferences > Audio Preferences > Wideband Headset. • If Wideband Headset UI Control is disabled, set this value from Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration by choosing Device > Phone > Phone Configuration. Note Note If you allowed this option to be user controllable (in the Wideband Headset UI Control option), the user-configured value takes precedence.
