Repeat steps 10 and 11 for the user rights Log on Locally, and Log on as a Service. Creating the Backup Agent Service Account on Windows 2000 To create the Backup Agent Service Account: 1. Open the Administrative Tools program group and select Active Directory Users and Computers on a domain controller. 2. Expand the tree from the console tree and click Users. 3. Click Action, and click New User. 4. Enter a user name and password. 5. Select the option Password Never Expires. 6. Click Create and click Close. 7. Click the User account, click Action and click Properties. 8. Select the Members Of tab and ensure the user is a member of the Administrators and Backup Operators groups. 9. To create the Backup Agent Service Account:
1.
Open the Administrative Tools program group and select Active Directory

3.
Click Action, and click New User.
4.
Enter a user name and password.
5.
Select the option Password Never Expires.
6.
Click Create and click Close.
7.
Click the User account, click Action and click Properties.

Select the Members Of tab and ensure the user is a member of the
Administrators and Backup Operators groups.
9.
Click OK to exit.
