Known Issues Known Issues ■ If you are performing a remote installation, for security reasons run the Agent for Microsoft Exchange for Windows user account configuration after installation. ■ If you are performing a remote backup, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks must be enabled on the Agent machine you are backing up. ■ The NetLogon service must be started to support pass-through authentication of account logon events for computers in a domain. ■ Automated user creation successfully creates users in multi-domain controller environments and Cluster environments. However, a short period of time must pass before the newly created user can be verified. ■ The security specified for Exchange server level and brick level backups must be a Domain Account. Enter this information, using the format DomainName\UserName, in the Security and Agent Information dialog. ■ The Microsoft Exchange IFS Virtual Drive is skipped during backups. Microsoft does not recommend backing up or restoring to the IFS drive nor is it supported by BrightStor ARCserve Backup. To back up the IFS drive at your own risk, set one of the following keys, depending upon your circumstances: To perform a local backup of an Exchange machine from the Manager without the Client Agent, in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\BrightStor ARCserve Backup\Base\Task\CommonBase\task\common Set IgnoreIFSDrive DWORD 0 To perform a backup using the Client Agent, on the target Exchange Agent machine, in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ComputerAssociates\BrightStorArcserveBackup\Client Agent\Parameters Set ForceIFSDriveBackup DWORD 1 Configuring the Port Address for the Backup Agent The Backup Agent uses TCP/IP socket communication to communicate with the BrightStor ARCserve Backup server. By default, the services use the port 6070. Existing Database agents use RPC for browsing. This value can be configured in the Configuration utilities for the Agents and in the CAPortConfig.cfg file in the BrightStor ARCserve Backup home directory on the BrightStor ARCserve Backup server. You must change the port number in both locations in order to work properly. 1-4 Backup Agent for Microsof t Exchange Server Option Guide
