The fields available in this section are as follows: Field IP address / FQDN Ping Result Description Enter the IP address or FQDN. Click Ping to send an ICMP echo request packet to the destination using the IPv4 network. It displays the result of the IP address. If the destination IP address is active, you can see a response. A response timed-out message indicates that the destination is either not active or is blocking ping requests. Traceroute The router DSR-250v2 provides a Traceroute function to map the network path to a public host. In addition, it displays up to 30 "hops" between this gateway and the destination.
