Section 3 - Configuration Firewall Settings A firewall helps protect your network from external cyber attack and intrusions. This page allows you to alter your router's firewall settings. Firewall Settings Firewall Enable IP Filter Rules Clicking this toggle activates the IP Filter. For more information, see IP Filter on page 38. Select Drop or Accept. Choose Drop to block IP addresses defined in the IP Filter tab and allow all other network traffic to pass through the router. Or select Accept to allow only those defined traffic to pass through your router. DMZ Settings Toggling the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) will expose a chosen computer to the outside world by completely disabling firewall and routing all inbound traffic to the DMZ IP Address. DMZ IP Address Enter the IP address of the DMZ host on the LAN to be exposed to the Internet. Note: This feature is only recommended for advanced users. Enabling this option will potentially expose your computer to attacks over the Internet. PPTP Pass Through Allows clients to connect to their corporate network or VPN using the PPTP protocol. IPSec Pass Through Allows clients to connect to their corporate network or VPN using the IPsec protocol. L2TP Pass Through Allows clients to connect to their corporate network or VPN using the L2TP protocol. WAN Ping Blocking When enabled the DWR-960 will not respond to pings from WAN. Clicking this toggle activates the IP Filter. For more

Select

Toggling the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) will expose a
chosen computer to the outside world by completely
