Viewing and editing group properties 2 Security tab The Security tab is viewed from the Encryption Group Properties dialog box. To access the Security tab, select a group from the Encryption Center Devices table, then select Group > Security from the menu task bar, or right-click a group and select Security. NOTE You can also select a group from the Encryption Center Devices table, then click the Properties icon. From here, you register smart cards for use. NOTE You must enable encryption engines before you back up or restore master keys. Master key actions are as follows: • Create a new master key, which is enabled when no master key exists or the previous master key has been backed up. • Back up a master key, which is enabled any time a master key exists. • Restore a master key, which is enabled when either no master key exists or the previous master key has been backed up. • System Cards, which identifies if the use of a system card is required for controlling activation of the encryption engine. • Authentication Cards, which identifies if one or more authentication cards must be read by a card reader attached to a Management application PC to enable certain security-sensitive operations. The
