Macintosh Macintosh printing-system software The HP Color LaserJet CP4005 printing system for Macintosh is composed of an HP-created postscript printer definition file (PPD) and a printer dialog extension (PDE) file that work together with the Macintosh OS print system. These files are used by the Macintosh OS print system to determine default print settings and also allows the user to select between the various print options and settings and are installed by the provided HP LaserJet Installer. Additionally, an HP-supplied Macintosh printer configuration utility is provided, which allows the user to access the printer's embedded Web server (EWS) to allow for additional configuration and printer status monitoring.
