Removing bezel blanks To remove the bezel blanks, use these procedures. On some models, there may be bezel blanks covering the optical drive bays. You must remove the bezel blank before installing an optical drive. Before removing the bezel blank, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 19). 2. Remove the access panel (Access panel on page 19). 3. Remove the optical drive (Optical drive on page 27). 4. Remove the front bezel (Front bezel on page 20). Remove the bezel blank: ▲ Press the release tab on the inside of the blank (1), and then rotate the blank off the bezel (2). To remove the bezel blanks, use these procedures.
On some models, there may be bezel blanks covering the optical drive bays. You must remove the bezel blank
before installing an optical drive.
