Hardware Upgrades Removing a PC Card Ä CAUTION: To prevent loss of work or system lockup, stop a PC Card before removing it. 1. If the system is on: ❏ In Windows XP Professional, select the Safely Remove Hardware icon in the taskbar, then select the PC Card you want to remove. A message is displayed when the card can be safely removed. ❏ In Windows 2000 Professional, select the Unplug or Eject Hardware icon in the taskbar, then select the PC card you want to remove. CAUTION:

If the system is on:

In Windows XP Professional, select the Safely Remove
Hardware icon in the taskbar, then select the PC Card you
want to remove. A message is displayed when the card
can be safely removed.

Eject Hardware icon in the taskbar, then select the
PC card you want to remove. A message is displayed
