NOTE: Selectors 2 through 4 are applicable to those models equipped with a built-in TAD. NOTE: Selectors 2 and 3 are applicable in the U.S.A. l Selector 1: Earth function in transfer facility This selector determines whether or not the earth function is added to the transfer setting menu to be accessed by the function switch. l Selectors 2 and 3: Dual tone detection frequency in ICM recording If the equipment detects either of the frequencies set by these selectors in ICM recording, it will disconnect the line. For example, if these selectors are set to "0, 0," the equipment will disconnect the line upon detection of 350 Hz or 440 Hz. l Selectors 4: Tone detection sensitivity in ICM recording Setting this selector to "1" increases the tone detection sensitivity in ICM recording. l Selectors 5 and 6: Earth time length for earth function These selectors set the short-circuiting time length of the telephone line (La or Lb) to ground. This setting is effective only when the earth function is selected for the R key by using the function switch. l Selectors 7 and 8: Break time length for flash function These selectors set the break time length. This setting is effective only when the flash function is selected for the R key by using the function switch. V - 15

NOTE:
Selectors 1 and 5 through 8 are not applicable in those countries where no transfer facility is
supported.
NOTE:
Selectors 2 through 4 are applicable to those models equipped with a built-in TAD.
NOTE:
Selectors 2 and 3 are applicable in the U.S.A.
Selector 1:
Earth function in transfer facility
This selector determines whether or not the earth function is added to the transfer setting menu to
be accessed by the function switch.
Selectors 2 and 3:
Dual tone detection frequency in ICM recording
If the equipment detects either of the frequencies set by these selectors in ICM recording, it will
disconnect the line.
For example, if these selectors are set to “0, 0,” the equipment will disconnect
the line upon detection of 350 Hz or 440 Hz.
Selectors 4:
Tone detection sensitivity in ICM recording
Setting this selector to “1” increases the tone detection sensitivity in ICM recording.
Selectors 5 and 6:
Earth time length for earth function
These selectors set the short-circuiting time length of the telephone line (La or Lb) to ground.
This setting is effective only when the earth function is selected for the R key by using the function
switch.
Selectors 7 and 8:
Break time length for flash function
These selectors set the break time length.
This setting is effective only when the flash function is selected for the R key by using the function
switch.
