1.3 Panel Rear Cover and Control Panel (1) Place the control panel ASSY upside down. If you do not need to remove the ADF parts, document pressure bar, or document ejection roller, skip to step (6). (2) To remove the ADF parts (spring covers, spring plates, and separation rubber), remove the screw. (3) To remove the document pressure bar ASSY, pull either of the supports provided on the panel rear cover outwards and lift up the pressure bar. The spring also comes off. IV - 9

Place the control panel ASSY upside down.
If you do not need to remove the ADF parts, document pressure bar, or document ejection
roller, skip to step (6).
(2)
To remove the ADF parts (spring covers, spring plates, and separation rubber), remove the
screw.
(3)
To remove the document pressure bar ASSY, pull either of the supports provided on the panel
rear cover outwards and lift up the pressure bar.
The spring also comes off.
