● By continuing with the wizard you will be able to have additional iterations to continue the visual fine tuning. To complete the wizard click Finish. New tint selection When a customer new tint selection is received, perform the process described below. ● In the DFE, go to the Digital Presses window, highlight the relevant substrate and click the Refine Spot Colors button at the bottom of the screen. This will open the Refine Spot Colors wizard. ● Click the 'Plus Sign' (+) and highlight a Pantone Book (e.g., PANTONE + Solid Coated). Spot colors will then appear at the bottom half of the screen. ● Highlight the relevant colors in the lower portion of the window. Click Add and Next. ● Select the relevant color strategy in the drop-down menu. Click Next. ● Select the option "Manually" (verify all colors are selected in the Spot Colors window). Define the spot color conversion values matching the target defined by the customer on the chart. ● Click Finish to complete the wizard . The tint selected will be attributed with the new ink % values on the specific color strategy. ► At the end of this process we ensure that the press is maintained, that a calibrated profile and color strategy have been created, and that fine tuning is done and out of gamut colors have been manually refined and approved by the Brand (as per Out of gamut color refinement process on page 27). We can now proceed to the proofing and production processes. Export and print your own brand ink book To create a printable or digital Ink Book with all your tint references and values (L*a*b*, Delta E compared to a specific strategy, tolerance and delta e formula), do as follows: ● Open the Color Pilot software. ● From the Library, select Ink Books. In the list that displays, right-click on the relevant ink book and from the menu select either Print Ink Book.. (to print on your HP Indigo press), or Print to File.. (to create a PDF). New tint selection
When a customer new tint selection is received, perform the process described below.
