This document is intended to define PSP E2E production procedure for HQCC (High Quality Color Control) for SPM-based HP Indigo WS6000 Series Digital Presses and Esko Color Engine Pilot. This document is aimed at the following functions: ● For the Brand - PSP focal point, QC functions, marketing function. ● For the PSP - Production manager, shift manager, DFE functions, press operators, finishing (varnish) operators, PSP focal point for the Brand. NOTE: The term "PSP" in this document stands for "Print Service Provider". The "Brand" is the customer of the PSP. Project background In terms of color-related challenges, there is in general a need to build clear and structured recommendations to face high color expectations and standards required by brand owners. This is done mainly by breaking the overall challenges into small tasks. For the PSP the challenge is to train the different production functions on methodology, processes, tools and general knowledge, and to create a standardized SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) aligned with the brand. For the Brand the most crucial point is to have a clear and consistent process and realistic standards regarding colors, whatever the application might be (labels, folding carton, sleeves, flexible packaging), printed on any HP Indigo Labels and Packaging Digital Presses, at any production site. This document defines the SOP, explaining the internal policies that guarantee a consistent, coherent and measurable process, starting from the color definition and all the way thru the workflow to the final product on the shelf. Control) for SPM-based HP Indigo WS6000 Series Digital Presses and Esko Color Engine Pilot.
This document is aimed at the following functions:

Project background
In terms of color-related challenges, there is in general a need to build clear and structured
recommendations to face high color expectations and standards required by brand owners. This is
done mainly by breaking the overall challenges into small tasks.
For the PSP the challenge is to train the different production functions on methodology, processes, tools
and general knowledge, and to create a standardized SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) aligned with
the brand.
For the Brand the most crucial point is to have a clear and consistent process and realistic standards
regarding colors, whatever the application might be (labels, folding carton, sleeves, flexible packaging),
printed on any HP Indigo Labels and Packaging Digital Presses, at any production site.
This document defines the SOP, explaining the internal policies that guarantee a consistent, coherent
and measurable process, starting from the color definition and all the way thru the workflow to the final
product on the shelf.
This document can be used by the customer for self-implementation. The relevant regional service focal
point should be contacted if HP Indigo support is needed for the implementation (value added services).
Main value added service program sessions
It explains main value added service program sessions.
