Item RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS CLEAR MAINTENANCE MESSAGE POWERSAVE Explanation This item performs a simple reset and restores most of the factory (default) settings. This item also clears the input buffer for the active I/O. Resetting memory during a print job can result in data loss. This item does not affect network settings stored on the HP Jetdirect print server (if installed). This item appears only after the PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE message displays. OFF: The PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE message will be cleared. If you do not replace the printer maintenance kit, the PERFORM PRINTER MAINTENANCE message will be displayed again after approximately 17,500 pages. The message should not be turned off unless the necessary printer maintenance has been performed. If the required maintenance is not performed, printer performance will degrade. For more information, see "Printer maintenance" on page 75. This item allows the user to turn POWERSAVE ON and OFF.
