The protocol is formally defined in IEEE 802.1AB. 5.7.1 Configuring LLDP  To configure the LLDP on the switch: Step 1. Log in as admin. Step 2. Enter config mode. Run: switch > enable switch # configure terminal Step 3. Enable LLDP globally on the switch. Run: switch (config) # lldp switch (config) # Step 4. Enable LLDP per interface. Run: switch (config interface ethernet 1/1) # lldp receive switch (config interface ethernet 1/1) # lldp transmit Step 5. Show LLDP local information. Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP)
