Dealing with a Boot Failure If the usual boot device (typically a disk) is not responding as it should, you must attempt to boot from the disk (or another boot device) by selecting it manually. To boot a device manually, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the power to your workstation for a few seconds. 2. Turn the power back on. If the usual boot device (typically a disk) is not responding as it should, you must
attempt to boot from the disk (or another boot device) by selecting it manually.
To boot a device manually, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the power to your workstation for a few seconds.

Turn the power back on.
The monitor displays the following screen:
