Command Line Interface Commands The command is followed by one or more keywords. Consider the following rules and conventions: ■ Commands and keywords are case insensitive. ■ Required keyword values appear in standard font: [value]. Optional values are shown in italics: [value]. ■ Underlined portions of the keyword in the command format indicate the abbreviated form that can be used. For example the Delete keyword can be abbreviated Del. The command-line completion feature makes entering and repeating commands easier. Table 43 describes the command-line completion keystrokes. Table 43: Command line completion Keystroke Tab Up Arrow Down Arrow Ctrl-A Ctrl-E Effect Completes the command line. Enter at least one character and press Tab to complete the command line. If more than one possibility exists, press Tab again to display all possibilities. Scrolls backward through the list of previously entered commands. Scrolls forward through the list of previously entered commands. Moves the cursor to the beginning of the command line. Moves the cursor to the end of the command line. The command set performs monitoring and configuration tasks. Commands related to monitoring tasks are available to all account names. Commands related to configuration tasks are available only within an admin session. An account must have Admin authority to enter the Admin Start command, which opens an admin session.
