Valid domain IDs must be in the range 1 to 239, and must be unique within a fabric. These changes prevent the application from communicating with the switch in the fabric. Before applying the changes, verify that the switch is reachable through its own Ethernet port, and then add a new fabric (Fabric>Add Fabric) at the switch's own IP address. The new IP configuration has been set on the switch, but the user has decided not to reset the switch at this time. Arrange a time when it is acceptable to disrupt communications between the hosts and storage systems, and then reset the switch to make the changes effective. This configuration information does not become effective unless the switch is reset. Resetting a switch in the fabric causes the servers and storage systems attached to the fabric to lose communications until the switch reset is complete and the fabric has re-initialized.
