The function of the button changes depending on the menu level. Buttons either control the navigating through the menus or incrementing and decrementing numeric values. Table 28. Control buttons Control button Description Down The Down button scrolls down the command list, or if the user is changing a numeric display, it decrements the numeric value. Up The Up button scrolls up the command list, or if the user is changing a numeric display, it increments the numeric value. Tab/Esc Enter The Tab/Esc button tabs through multiple options. When displaying a menu item, pressing the Tab/Esc button reverses through previous commands and, if pressed repeatedly, turns off the front panel display. The Enter button accepts the input and executes the selected function. When entering a number, the Up and Down buttons start in slow mode and change to fast mode if either button is held down. Most numbers go to a maximum of 255; for a large number, it may be faster to use the Down button. Activating the menu display The display on the front panel of the switch is normally not illuminated. Control buttons
Table 28 lists the primary control button functions. The function of the button
changes depending on the menu level. Buttons either control the navigating through
