CAUTION: The controller card contains a lithium battery. To avoid possible explosion, do not burn, exchange, or charge the battery. Discard the controller card as instructed by local regulations for lithium batteries. (RSFTC228) There are no user-serviceable parts inside the power supply chassis. Opening the power supply voids its warranty and certification. Note: If this is a dual power machine, you do not need to turn off power to the good power supply. If the second power supply option is available, turning it off will disrupt any on-going switch operation. Tools that are required None. Removing a power supply 1. Turn off power to the power supply being replaced. Figure 17 shows the Telnet error messages that are generated when a power supply is turned off, removed, replaced, and turned back on. Note that this is normal operation. Pull out and lift up the handle from the top of the power supply unit. The handle is shown in Figure 18 on page 47. 4. Removing a power supply
1.
Turn off power to the power supply being replaced. Figure 17 shows the Telnet
error messages that are generated when a power supply is turned off, removed,
replaced, and turned back on. Note that this is normal operation.
2.
Remove any external cabling attached to the power supply.
3.
Pull out and lift up the handle from the top of the power supply unit. The handle
is shown in Figure 18 on page 47.
4.
Gently pull the unit out.
