5. Plug one end of the power cord into the corresponding connector on the power supply; then, plug the other end of the power cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. Note: You can route the power cord through the power-cord restraint bracket on the rear of the server (tower model only). 6. If the server is not on, turn on the server. 7. Verify that the dc power LED and the ac power LED on the power supply are lit, indicating that the power supply is operating properly. Installing a hot-swap power-supply option Your server comes with one fixed power supply or two hot-swap power supplies, depending on the server model. If your server has one fixed power supply, you can replace it with the hot-swap power-supply option, giving you two hot-swap power supplies. The two hot-swap power supplies provide power redundancy. Installing
a
hot-swap
power-supply
option
Your
server
comes
with
one
fixed
power
supply
or
two
hot-swap
power
supplies,
depending
on
the
server
model.
If
your
server
has
one
fixed
power
supply,
you
can
replace
it
with
the
hot-swap
power-supply
option,
giving
you
two
hot-swap
power
supplies.
The
two
hot-swap
power
supplies
provide
